“Kaiji 2″ press conference features 200 million Yen as the main star, and a peculiar Yoshitaka Yuriko

First of all, I want to thanks Tokyohive for posting Tatsuya Fujiwara whereabouts. I was delighted seeing him once again. But.... As I scanned those pictures of him (there's actually a few of it) in Tokyohive site, he seems so sleepy and his eyes were tired. T^T Nevertheless, he still managed to speak well in his press conference. Here is the report of his press conference for KAIJI 2:

A press conference for the upcoming movie “Kaiji 2: Jinsei Dakkai Game” was held in Tokyo today. The conference was attended by actors Fujiwara Tatsuya, Iseya Yusuke, and Yoshitaka Yuriko, as well as director Sato Toya, and creator of the original manga, Fukumoto Nobuyuki.

The movie is the sequel to the very successful “Kaiji: Jinsei Dakkai Game” that grossed 2.25 billion Yen (29.34 million USD) at the box office. Just like in the first movie, our protagonist ‘Kaiji‘ (Fujiwara) ends up having to earn 200 million Yen (2.6 million USD) in a two week time frame in an underground casino in order to pay off his new huge debt before he gets into even more trouble. Fukumoto himself once again co-wrote the script and it’s been reported that aside from the infamous monster pachinko machine from the manga, the movie is going to feature a new and original adventure for Kaiji.

Fujiwara commented, “Many people saw the first movie and I was really happy when we got to film a sequel. From all the feedback I get the feeling, that it’s going to be a really entertaining movie that can be enjoyed by people from all ages.

However, the biggest star of the press conference was the real packet of 200 million Yen up on stage.

Fujiwara was daydreaming and said, “If I got my hands on 200 million Yen, I wouldn’t tell a soul and probably take it home with me. Iseya then jokingly added, “And use it as tissues.

Yoshitaka added, “I wouldn’t even know how to spend 200 million Yen. I don’t think I would become more happy by buying anything I want. Instead, I would probably become one of the loneliest person on the planet.

Iseya then became more serious and said, “Maybe it would be better to use the money to help other people? Maybe you really need to have a talent for handling that much money? If a person really knew what to do with such a large sum, maybe he could even improve our society a little.
Fujiwara was impressed and commented, “Isn’t it great that we can have such a serious conversation today.

Yoshitaka then was suddenly asked in her peculiar way, “Come to think of it, Iseya-san, didn’t you say something about causing a 200 million scandal backstage?” She tried her best to contain her laughter and added, “But Iseya-san is a good man, he wouldn’t do something like that.

Furthermore, it seemed like Yoshitaka was more curious about the security guard than the 200 million Yen. At the end she explained, “The necklace I’m wearing is worth 8 million Yen (around $105,000). I wonder if he would pin me down if I tried to keep it on while trying to rush back home.
She caused more laughter with her peculiarity and continued, “Security guards really don’t laugh at all, I guess. He has been trying to avoid eye contact with me for a while now.

“Kaiji 2: Jinsei Dakkai Game” is scheduled to open in Japan on November 5th.
